Acting on United Nations sanctioned mission therefore a group of United States soldiers invaded the city of Mogadishu. Eventually also, some positive results were recorded when the military action resulted in the prevention of Islamist terrorists from taking root: despite the fact that that was not the original humanitarian mission (Nasaw, 2009). The Black Hawk Down battle in Somalia also had its own negative results. Analysts have judged the outcome of that particular military action as one of the worse to have ever hit the United States army. Within a period of 17 hours, as many as 18 United States soldiers and 500 Somalis had fallen as victims of death in the battle. Analysis means establishing a significant relationship between a number of items of two financial statements with each other, in order to draw a meaningful conclusion. Financial statement analysis is an evaluation to assess the efficiency and performance of the firm. Thus, it is very essential to measure the financial soundness, efficiency, profitability, and future prospects of business units. Financial analysis serves the following purposes: Measuring profitability Indicating the trend of achievements Assessing the growth potential of the business Comparative position in relation to other firms Assess overall financial strength Assess solvency of the firm. Elements of financial assessment: Analysis of financial statement is an important part of the process of developing a business plan, as it also helps to monitor the success of that plan.
